Vans Skate Classics
I led the asset creation and marketing of the capsule Vans' skate shoes that had a “wearaway” color reveal feature. These shoes were not a promotional priority for Vans’ season, which presented an opportunity for CCS to be an exclusive voice in the for this product.
I procured a sample pair of the Wearaway Skate Era style that we then utilized for a “before and after” campaign for CCS’ social media accounts with the slogan “The story of your skating is written in the wear”.
The post generated fantastic engagement from our followers with many comments that accurately speculated the stance and trick preference of the skater who wore the sample shoes. It was a great moment for CCS where we authentically connected with our audience, impressed Vans with our campaign, and converted social media attention into shoe sales.
Vans Skate Sk8-Hi Decon
Elijah Berle Edition
The Vans Sk8-Hi Decon shoe for team rider Elijah Berle came packaged with a dozen embroidered patches that could be attached to the shoes uppers with a hook-and-loop system. For CCS’ social media, we wanted to go beyond the typical product photography to illustrate the unique features of the shoe while gaining a wider audience through Instagram’s Reels and Stories video features.
Using materials at hand and utilizing music from a song library I recorded myself, we were able to successfully launch the sneaker with original assets that pleased not only our followers, but Vans as well.
